The Ayurveda Candle Collection

Three forces shape you and your unique constitution.
Find your Prakriti

In the ancient science of Ayurveda, your Prakriti is the unique, unchanging ratio of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha doshas you’re born with. It shapes your natural strengths, tendencies, and the way you move through the world.

Doshas are literally translated as “faults” because they are the parts of us most easily thrown off balance. Stress, diet, environment, habits, and lifestyle can all disturb them, and that shifted state is called Vikriti.

When you understand the difference between your Prakriti (your true nature) and your Vikriti (your current state), you can start taking gentle steps back toward balance.

The prime purpose of the nine dosha-pacifying candles is to help guide you back home to yourself.

The three doshas

Vata

Air + Ether

The force of movement. Light, dry, quick, and creative; it governs everything in you that travels, from thought to breath.

Pitta

Fire + Water

The force of transformation. Hot, sharp, and precise; it governs digestion, ambition, and the drive to finish what you start.

Kapha

Earth + Water

The force of structure. Heavy, cool, and steady; it governs stability, stamina, and the calm that others lean on.

Fragrance, the Ayurvedic way

Classical Ayurveda pairs each constitution with fragrances that support and bring the doshas back into balance. Scent works on the limbic system, the part of the brain where mood, memory, and the nervous system meet, which is why the right blend can go to work immediately.

FAQs

Which Ayurveda candle should I choose if I don’t know my dosha?
Take the Palm Lights Dosha Quiz. Eighteen gentle questions reveal your unique blend of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha and match you to the candle made for your constitution. If you would rather not quiz, Ayurveda Candle Trio lets you pick any three candles across all three doshas at 17% off.
Can I burn a candle that isn’t matched to my dosha?
Yes. Every blend in the collection is made from natural essential oils and is safe and pleasant for any constitution. A matched candle additionally supports the doshas most likely to drift out of balance for you, so the candle works a little harder on your behalf.
I’m giving this as a gift, what if they’re not sure of their dosha?
The Ayurveda Candle Trio gives them the option to build a bundle and explore. Or gift a single candle alongside the link to the Quiz. Many recipients love having an introduction to Ayurveda included.
Why is Ayurveda Candle Trio better than buying a single candle?
Ayurveda candles are built for your Prakriti (your birth constitution). But its best if you order the one that matches your current Vikriti (what you’re experiencing right now) rather than your Prakriti (how you have always felt). Check the product description carefully. If you’re unsure, Ayurveda Candle Trio lets you choose any three candles from across the collection and get 17% off the combined price plus free shipping. Keep the classic Vata, Pitta, and Kapha trio, or build a set matched entirely to your own constitution and current state.
What is Ayurveda, and how do these candles fit into it?

Ayurveda is a five-thousand-year-old Indian “science of life.” It explains that everyone is born with a unique constitution called Prakriti, which is your innate blueprint shaped by three elemental organizations or doshas: Vata (the principle of movement, air, and space), Pitta (the principle of transformation, fire, and water), and Kapha (the building block material of structure, earth, and water). Ayurvedic tradition also recognizes Vikriti, your current state, which can naturally shift day-to-day with daily stressors, changing seasons, and disrupted routines.

Scent has its own dedicated place in this tradition, historically known as ‘Gandha Chikitsa’, the practice of using natural fragrance to create a comforting, balanced atmosphere. Each Palm Lights Ayurveda candle honors these traditional aromatherapy pairings, using pure essential oils blended to target a specific dominant dosha or dual-dosha state.

By building these candles into a consistent daily routine, such as lighting the same blend at the same hour each evening, you introduce a repeatable, grounding sensory ritual to your space. Our candles are a lifestyle fragrance product inspired by this ancient wisdom, designed to invite a beautiful sense of environmental ease and “flow” into your day. They are not a medical treatment for any condition. If you are exploring Ayurveda more seriously for health purposes, we recommend consulting a qualified Ayurvedic practitioner.

What is the difference between an Ayurveda candle and a regular scented candle?
A regular scented candle is built around a fragrance, often synthetic, chosen simply to smell pleasant. An Ayurveda candle is built around your unique constitution (Prakriti), inscribed at the time of your birth. Each blend follows traditional aromatherapy pairings, using natural essential oils selected to pacify a specific dosha, so the scent always has a purpose: grounding a restless mind, cooling an overheated one, or waking a sluggish morning.
Which scents are commonly used in Ayurveda-inspired candles?
Three families do most of the work. Grounding woods and roots such as vetiver, patchouli, and cedarwood steady Vata. Cooling florals like jasmine, rose, and lavender calm Pitta. Warming spices, including cinnamon, ginger, and eucalyptus, stir Kapha. A special mention for sandalwood, one of Ayurveda’s most treasured fragrances, which appears across traditions for meditation and rest. We use responsibly harvested sandalwood from India for our candles.
Are Ayurveda candles good for relaxation, stress relief, and meditation?
Yes, this is exactly what they are made for. Because scent works directly on the limbic system, an authentic essential oil blend can signal calm within moments of lighting. Many people use them as an anchor: the same candle lit in the early hours around sunrise, before prayer or meditation, during an evening wind-down, or as part of a sleep routine, so the fragrance itself becomes the cue to let go of the day.
What ingredients are in an Ayurveda candle?
Palm Lights Ayurveda candles contain three things: certified sustainable RSPO palm wax, cotton wicks, and aromatherapy grade essential oils blended in-house. No paraffin, no synthetic fragrance, no dyes. Everything that burns in your home sanctuary is natural, vegan, and hand-poured in small batches in the UAE.
Are Ayurveda candles safe for daily home use?
Yes. Natural palm wax burns clean, and essential oils are used at levels suited to daily enjoyment. Follow the usual candle care: burn in a ventilated room, keep away from children, pets, and anything flammable, and never leave a flame unattended. A daily lighting routine, morning grounding or evening calm, is precisely how these candles are meant to live with you.
How do I care for an Ayurveda candle to make it last longer?
Let the first burn reach a full melt pool across the surface, which prevents tunnelling and preserves the blend. Trim the wick to about five millimetres before each lighting, keep burns under four hours, and place the candle away from drafts. Stored with its lid on, away from direct sun, the essential oils stay true from the first light to the last.
