How to care for your Pillar Candles

  • Remove all packaging, except burning instructions at the base of the candle.
  • Burn the candle for 3 hours or till a thin outer shell is formed. Palm Lights pillar candles are designed to burn like a lantern, so the crystal pattern of Palm wax will glow from inside.
  • Never burn candles for more than 3 hours a time
  • Place candles on a temperature safe surface, away from flammable objects
  • Keep wicks centered and trimmed to ¼”. If you notice that the candle is burning poorly – cut off the glowing end of the wick
  • Keep out of drafts of wind, specially in an air conditioned environment
  • If you are burn more than one candle at a time, place them at a distance of at least 10 cm. Candles which are burnt with less or no space between them tend to burn faster
  • Do not move candle when lit or before wax hardens
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

How to care for your Votives

Palm Lights Votives come in three shapes – Round, Octagonal and SquareThese little candles are meant to melt completely when lighted.

  • Remove packaging, retain burning instructions printed on the box
  • Place the candle in a non-flammable holder (example glass/ceramic/concrete. Not wooden/paper mache). The holder should provide a snug fit and should be of the same height or taller.
  • Burn till the top of the votive candles melts completely.
  • Keep wick centered and trimmed to ¼” to prevent soot buildup on container. If smoke or soot is observed, extinguish candle and trim the glowing end of the wick
  • Keep out of air drafts
  • Keep votive holders on a temperature safe, level surface
  • Keep out of reach of children & pets
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended

How to care for your Container Candles

  • On the first burn, keep it on till the molten wax pool reaches all the way to the edge of the container
  • To preserve the fragrance, do not burn your candle for more than 3 hours straight during the first half of the candle and 1 to 2 hours during the remaining.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets
  • Keep glass jars on a temperature safe, level surface. Candle containers can become very hot in use, do not move or touch a burning candle
  • Do not allow wick trimming or other debris to collect in the candle. Keep the lid on when not in use.
  • Keep wick centered and trimmed to ¼” to prevent soot buildup on container. If you notice that the candle is burning poorly – cut off the glowing end of the wick
  • Should the wick require centering, gently readjust to correct position when the wax is still molten.
  • Discontinue use when only ½ “ wax remains at bottom
